As Quasar Scan’s original developer, Beau still operates in a very ‘hands on’ capacity these days designing the roadmap and running development of the product as new versions and features are released. Beau’s in-depth technical expertise and experience, together with his collaborative approach, provides our customers with both targeted and proactive support. This ensures that our customers get the most benefit from the product and that important new features are implemented continuously.
Beau has a B.Sc (Hons) in Computer Science and Electronics and has presented his security research at conferences all over New Zealand. He has also been reported in international press and has been credited in security disclosures by Microsoft.
Heading up our Customer Success team, Stu comes from a global service provider background after being selected into one of New Zealand’s highly competitive graduate programmes. In a relatively short period of time he has worked across IT operations, project delivery, business development and product management – always remaining firmly centred on providing quality outcomes and delivering value to customers.
Being involved in all things people, Stu’s main focus is on managing and developing relationships with customers, partners, and the wider Quasar community while also looking after the marketing, comms and public relations side of the business. Approachable and proactive, he will most often be your first point of contact when engaging with the Quasar team.
Stu has a Bachelor of Commerce (BCom) and is also a Payment Card Industry Professional (PCIP).
Nicole Braun
Associate Director of Security & Compliance Lead
Nicole is a barrister and solicitor in the High Court of New Zealand and has also completed a PhD in information systems with a focus on information security at the human level. A Qualified Security Assessor (QSA) Nicole has an in-depth understanding of the relationship between legal, privacy and technology environments. It’s fair to say she’s the in-house compliance guru!
Nicole uses her extensive knowledge and experience to offer in-depth insight to our customers and product team developing Quasar Scan. It’s her expertise that helps that us ensure whatever changes or enhancements are being made, they all work towards the common goal of helping organisations effectively achieve and maintain PCI DSS compliance.

Dom also leads our Quasar analysis team, who play a big part in delivering our end-to-end Card Scanning as a Service (CSaaS) solution to customers.

With over 35 years’ experience in the IT industry as an end-user, reseller and distributor, our Commercial Director Paul also has considerable international experience having worked in Hong Kong, Asia and Australia for over two decades. Running the commercial arm of the organisation, Paul ensures that things are optimised and running smoothly across our customers, partners and wider ecosystem. One of Paul’s key responsibilities is leading our distributor and reseller programme.
Paul is an Associate Chartered Accountant and a member of the Institute of Directors (NZ).
